SSO Loop on a Mac machine

After changing the password for your account (or organizational accounts) you keep getting the SSO login page pop-up.

Follow the steps on this page to download and run the licence removal tool - https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/how-to-remove-office-license-files-on-a-mac-b032c0f6-a431-4dad-83a9-6b727c03b193

We recommend re-starting your machine between steps 4 and 5 (before you login to an app). Also - make sure your machine has done all of its updates.

If you get an error "maximum number of single sign on sessions has been reached" please contact us (519-824-4120 x58888). We will have to delete SSO sessions so you can login again.

If this still does not resolve the issue you may need to uninstall office ( https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/uninstall-office-for-mac-eefa1199-5b58-43af-8a3d-b73dc1a8cae3 ) and then re-install it ( https://ithelp.uoguelph.ca/install-office  ).
