How to change the name on your account

 


If you are a student:

Your name has to be changed first in Web Advisor before it can be changed for your login account and the email system, courselink & Teams. Use the change legal name or change given name forms on this page to submit a request for a name change to the Registrar - https://www.uoguelph.ca/registrar/changeaddress

Once your name has been updated in Web Advisor, if you do not see your name updated in email etc please contact us and we can update your name in our central directory.

 

If you are a faculty or staff:

Your name has to first be updated by HR in the HR system. Once your name has been updated by HR, the changes are usually reflected in your account. If you do not see updated name information in the email system, Teams etc. please contact us so we can make the changes in our central directory.
