How to add and remove MFA methods

We recommend users have at least 2 MFA methods. For staff/faculty - add an office phone so you can get into your account if you forget your mobile.

There are 2 ways to get into your MFA methods and make changes.

1.You can use this link as long as you have at least one method that will work - https://aka.ms/mysecurityinfo .

2.The other way to view your MFA methods and make changes is to login to your email via a web browser. Once you are logged into email go to the top right corner where your profile picture/initials are and choose View Account

On the Security info section click on Update Info. This will take you into your MFA methods.

You can add methods by clicking on + Add sign-in method, remove or change methods listed for your account and change the default method. You can have up to 5 methods on your account.

Before you get a new mobile phone if you keep the same phone number make sure you have this number set-up so you can add your new device.

If you are going to be travelling, you may not have data/sms text messages so add the authenticator app to a mobile or a tablet so you can access your account.

If your device is lost or broken and you don’t have any other MFA methods contact us so we can help. If you are a staff/faculty we will need someone from your department to verify your identity.

How to use multiple MFA methods:

When you are signing in to your account, you will be presented with different options depending on your default method - the authenticator app OR another method (phone number, security key etc). If your primary method is not working, choose the option to select a different method.
