About Adobe Creative Cloud at U of G

Get Started with Adobe Creative Cloud

  1. After you have submitted the Adobe Creative Cloud Subscription Request form, our Adobe Administrator will review your request details and manually assign your Adobe subscription. When your subscription is assigned to your @uoguelph.ca email address, you will receive an email with the subject line "Get started with [Subscription purchased]" from notifications@adobe.com stating that you now have access to the Adobe Creative Cloud app(s) that you purchased (see example email below). If you do not receive this email within 2-3 business days, please check your spam/junk folder or contact the CCS IT Help Centre via email (swsales@uoguelph.ca).

2. After you receive the getting started email as shown above, click on “Get Started”. You will be prompted to sign in with an existing Adobe ID Account or create a new Adobe ID for your U of G email account

Note: This is separate from your University of Guelph Central Login Account. If you do not already have an AdobeID associated with your @uoguelph.ca email address, you can click on “Get an Adobe ID” to create one.

If you have an existing Personal AdobeID that uses your U of G email address, a new "Business Profile" called "University of Guelph CCS" will be created under this account. Learn more about how to manage your Adobe Profiles.

3. Once you have created or have created/signed in with your AdobeID, you may be prompted to accept the Adobe Terms of Use. Read through the EULA and confirm that you have read and agree to the terms of use, etc. Click Continue.

After you have accepted the terms of use, your subscription license/plan will be assigned to the Business Profile of your Adobe ID and you will be able to access the included Adobe apps via the web, mobile app or by downloading and installing the Adobe Creative Cloud apps on your computer.

Accessing and Installing your Adobe Creative Cloud Apps

After your Adobe Creative Cloud subscription has been assigned, you should be able to login to your Adobe account using a web browser to view the Adobe apps included in your subscription plan, access web versions of select apps and download/install the desktop version of Adobe apps to your device.

The Adobe Creative Cloud User Guide is a good resource for getting started with your Adobe Creative Cloud subscription. U of G specific installation instructions and other helpful information is included below for our users.

How do I install Adobe Creative Cloud Apps on my device?

To install and manage the Adobe Creative Cloud apps included in your subscription, users should install the Adobe Creative Cloud Desktop app on their device. This app allows a user to install only Creative Cloud apps they need on their device and manage updates for their apps without needing continued administrative access on their device. Adobe Creative Cloud (per user) subscriptions allow a single user to install Adobe Apps on two devices (i.e. 1 work and 1 personal device).

Please ensure that your device meets the system requirements for the Adobe Creative Cloud desktop app prior to installation.
