User is getting an SPSS Error Message: "No licenses found for IBM SPSS Statistics 29. ErrCode=1 SubCode=18

This SPSS error message can be the result of activating SPSS on your computer while using a (computer login) account that does not have administrator rights to update the SPSS licensing file stored on your computer during the activation of SPSS 29. This means that when you open SPSS Statistics, the software program is not able to reference a valid license activation and will not allow the user to use SPSS.

• Once you have verified that your Mac user account has administrator rights, you can relaunch the License Admin Wizard and activate using the code again.

Windows

• Verify that your computer login account has permission to administer your computer or contact your local IT Admin to assist with activation using Administrator account credentials. Once you have verified that your computer user account has administrator rights, you can relaunch the License Admin Wizard and activate using the code again.
• If you have separate Administrator account credentials for your computer, right click on SPSS and "run as administrator" and proceed with the activation.
