CCS (Computing and Communications Services) provides many IT services to the University of Guelph and remote campus community including wifi connectivity in Residence and on-campus, Gryph mail and Office 365 applications, central login accounts and many other services. CCS provides IT support to faculty, staff and students via phone, live chat, email support and face to face at the IT Help Desk in the library.


As a part-time Student Consultant you will work with CCS staff to provide technical troubleshooting, information and solutions to our clients. You will answer questions about CCS Services and applications, supported products and a wide variety of computing issues including connecting to wifi, login and email problems, Teams questions and device issues. This position provides students with the opportunity to develop critical customer service skills, analytical and troubleshooting skills. Shifts will be scheduled for both in person at the IT Help Desk and remote shifts - you need reliable internet connectivity when working from home.
